land for sale brisbane

The earliest inhabitants to the region were Aborigines, known as the “Yugambeh” tribe.

Using the property for its treasured natural resources, the site was also utilized as a strategic thoroughfare between campsites, the Logan River and Oxley Creek.  European settlement and activity commenced in the early 1800’s and till this very day, development in the area continues to thrive.

The first documented visit by settlers to the region was made in 1828 by Cunningham, Fraser and Logan with settlement following soon after, Teviot Downs evolved from part of the Mortlake Run. It was resumed for selection in 1874 after surveying by historian, Martin Lavelle (whom Teviot Downs Lagoon is named after). Over the years the land has mainly been utilized for cattle grazing, timber production, farming, and in more recent years large homesites for housing.
